Our process

How repair & troubleshooting works with Big Tex

  1. 1

    Describe the Issue

Call or text photos/videos of the problem. We can often diagnose half the issue before we arrive, saving you time and money.

  2. 2

    On-Site Diagnosis

A technician arrives, pressure-tests the system, and isolates the source of the issue. You get a clear repair estimate before we start.

  3. 3

    Repair or Recommend

Most repairs are completed during the same visit. If parts need to be ordered, we schedule a quick return visit and prioritize you.

  4. 4

    Pressure-Test & Warranty

After the fix, we pressure-test the system to confirm full performance and warranty the repair.

Common questions

Repair & Troubleshooting FAQs

My misting system won't turn on. What should I do first?

Check the GFCI outlet (often tripped) and the water supply valve. If both are fine, the pump motor or capacitor may have failed. Call us and we'll diagnose it quickly.

Why is my system leaking from the fittings?

High-pressure systems live and die by their fittings. Vibration, freeze damage, or simple age can cause seal failures. Most are an easy fix.

How long do misting pumps last?

A well-maintained commercial pump should last 8–12 years. Skipped oil changes, hard water, and running the pump dry shorten that significantly.

Do you offer emergency service?

We prioritize commercial accounts during peak heat. For residential, we typically schedule repair within a few business days — call us to discuss.
