Our story
Built in Texas, for Texas.
Big Tex Misting Fans was founded in 2018 on a simple observation: there are a lot of cheap misting kits sold in Central Texas every summer — and almost all of them disappoint. Hardware-store kits run on garden-hose pressure, drip everywhere, and leave their owners convinced that "misting just doesn't work."
We started Big Tex to show the difference. Real, commercial-grade systems — engineered for the climate, installed cleanly, and built to last a decade or more. The same technology you'll find at big-league ballparks, theme parks, and high-end resort patios, scaled for your home or business.
We're locally owned, we live in the cities we serve, and we install every system as if it were going on our own back porch.
What we install
Every system we install runs on high-pressure (1000 PSI) pumps, stainless-steel nozzles, sealed pump assemblies, and professional-grade fittings throughout. As an authorized dealer we source from the industry's most-trusted commercial manufacturers — the same equipment you'll see on major-league ballpark patios, theme parks, and high-end resorts nationwide.
Who we serve
We work with homeowners, restaurant and bar owners, hotels and resorts, event venues, equine and livestock facilities, and commercial property managers across the Austin metro and Central Texas Hill Country. We also rent portable units for weddings, parties, jobsites, and events.
